Today 5D have been working on some tricky fractions.
Lots of us have worked extremely hard and would like to celebrate our learning.
Blayne, Hudson and Joshua found adding fractions difficult but persevered with a lot of practise.

Today, in Reading skills 5D have been focusing on the skill 'Vocabulary'.
Joshua worked really hard and attempted the challenges.

Today 5D have been looking at Chinese art.
Shulin and Alfie have really captured "Bamboo, plum blossoms and moon" by Gao Qipei.

Today in maths, we have been looking at dividing numbers by 10,100 and 1000.
Joshua started by finding the work a little tricky, but with support and resilience, he was eventually able to work independently.

Today 5D have been read an extract from Goodnight Mr Tom, focusing on using the skill Retrieval .
Finley is proud of work and has started to feel confident enough to start answering questions on his own.

In Year 5, we’ve been learning how to round numbers to the nearest 10, 100, and 1000. Although we found it a bit tricky at first, we kept practising and persevering. Through games, group activities, and lots of examples, we’re starting to feel more confident in our rounding skills.
