Thursday 16th January
This afternoon 6E got creative and made Chinese lanterns!
The children learnt about linear art & the four gentlemen (Bamboo, plum blossom, orchid & chrysanthemum). The outside was decorated with their choice of plant or a mixture.
They really did turn out great& the children had lots of fun! 🎨 😃
Tuesday 12th November
Year 6 have started Mrs Edwards' favourite week of the year - the week that we learn how to use LONG DIVISION!

Thursday 17th October
Here is some excellent work from Mitchell in Topic yesterday, who showed fantastic consideration of people's experiences of evacuation in WW2.
Thursday 26th and Friday 27th September
Year 6 were joined by Nicky from the Anne Frank Trust to participate in a workshop linking to the life of Anne Frank in World War Two. The day began by looking into the theme of stereotypes and how these change over time. We then used key information cards and matched them to key dates, which we ordered chronologically.
Year 6 found out lots of interesting facts during the same. Each of these numbers related to a different fact!

Jack has been working super hard to create sentences for a narrative that use the 'Show, don't tell' technique.
