Why do we want a FRIENDS Group at Exhall?

The purpose of a FRIENDS Group is for a "team" of parents/carers/friends and teachers to volunteer their spare time to organise and arrange fundraising and social events to help raise funds for all the children at school.

As well as fundraising, we hope our FRIENDS would help to provide closer links between home and school as it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal.

So how can you get involved? There are lots of ways you can help and support your child through the FRIENDS. Attending FRIENDS meetings or offering to help before events or at other times during the year is really valuable!  It doesn’t matter if you can’t help on a regular basis, or even if you can’t come into school as there are always jobs that can be done from home (if you have half an hour to spare) e.g. wrapping gifts, filling jam jars etc. (We won’t turn away a willing volunteer)!

Could you be a Class Rep? Would you like to help spread important news amongst the parents in your child’s class, get involved with fundraising ideas and have a great excuse to catch up with other parents and carers? We are looking for people to volunteer as Class Reps; ideally 2 or 3 people who are able to give a little time and effort towards helping FRIENDS events run smoothly. Could this be you?
