Arrival at School

The school doors open at 8:45am. Children line up on the two playgrounds and make their way to their own classrooms to complete short activities before the start of the school day.  Being at school on time is very important as arriving just a few minutes late means they miss out on the first part of the school day.  If your child is late they will need to enter school via the main door and report to the school office before being taken to class.

Lunch time Arrangements

School Dinners:

School meals offer a selection of three main meals, including salad and desserts every day.  All our meals are nutritionally balanced over the course of our 4 week cycle.

Packed Lunches:

We also provide facilities for children to bring packed lunches from home.  Packed lunches should be brought to school in a clearly marked container / lunchbox and we ask that parents / carers try to  ensure the contents are healthy and children are provided with enough nutrition for the afternoon activities.  Glass bottles, fizzy drinks and cans of 'pop' should not be brought to school.

If a child forgets their packed lunch we will provide a school meal and ask that payment for it is brought to school the following day.

Break Times

Children can bring their own snack for break time. These can include cereal bars and fruit but we do discourage children in eating sweets Monday - Thursday, with a sweeter treat saved for Friday break time.

Leaving School at the end of the Day

The school day ends at 3:15pm.

If you meet your child from school please ensure that you are at school on time.  If you are running late, please contact the school as soon as you can so that we can reassure your child.

Please also let us know if anyone else other than the usual person will be collecting your child.

Road Safety

The school has a bike/ scooter rack area, please make sure that your child is competent enough on the local roads to come to school on their own. We suggest that they are also wearing the correct safety equipment.

If you travel to school by car we ask that you be respectful of local residents, other road users, pedestrians and other children and ensure that you park considerately and drive carefully around our school site.
